How are quantities calculated?
- Bed linen and towels: In-use quantity × par level × (1 + spare percentage). Allow 1 flat sheet and 1 duvet cover per bed, 1 pillowcase per pillow, 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per guest, and 1 bath mat per room. Default par levels are 3 sets for economy, 4 for midscale and 5 for upscale hotels. Outsourced laundry adds 1 set. For replenishment: in-use quantity × replenishment sets.
- Bed linen sizes: Flat sheet width = bed width + 2 × mattress depth + 50 cm; length = bed length + 2 × mattress depth + 40 cm. For a standard 20 cm mattress, a 1.2 m bed uses a 210 × 280 cm sheet, 180 × 240 cm duvet cover and 160 × 220 cm duvet insert. A 1.8 m bed uses a 270 × 280 cm sheet, 240 × 240 cm duvet cover and 220 × 220 cm duvet insert.
- Toiletries and disposable amenities: Monthly occupied room nights = room count × occupancy × 30. Toiletries and dental kits use guest nights; soap, combs and shower caps use room nights. Allow 1 pair of slippers per average 2-night stay, then multiply by the number of stocking or replenishment months.
- Other supplies: Duvet inserts, pillow inserts and mattress protectors use in-use quantities per bed plus spares. Appliances, leather accessories, luggage racks, hangers and waste bins are allocated per room. Replenishment uses the replacement percentage.
